Who we are

Half-Space Pro is run by BitMountain AI LLC, 3366 Mission Olive Pl, New Hill, NC 27562, United States. For anything in this policy, write to hello@halfspacepro.com.

This policy covers the website halfspacepro.com and the Half-Space Pro mobile app.

What we collect on the website

• ·Anonymous usage analytics. We use PostHog in cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It records which pages are opened and a few in-product events (for example, a lesson opened or a challenge checked). Query strings are removed from the addresses before they are sent, so private links never reach analytics.
• ·Your email address, only if you type it into the waitlist form, together with the optional note you write. We use it to tell you when the full product opens.
• ·Your lesson progress, kept in your own browser. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

What we collect in the app

• ·A player record when you start playing: the display name you choose, your language and the times you created and last used it. A random session token is kept in your device’s secure storage so the app can recognise the same player.
• ·Your email address if you create an account. Login codes are stored only as a one-way hash and expire in minutes.
• ·Your duels: the decisions you lock, the score our server calculates, the invites you create or accept, and which positions you have already been shown so we do not repeat them.
• ·Your learning progress and rewards. For a guest they stay on the device. With an account, your finished challenges, quiz results, the days you played, your review schedule and your Top and Taraftar ledger are also kept on our server, so they follow you to another phone. Your puzzle skill history and your language choice stay on the device.
• ·Usage analytics, with PostHog: which screens you open and events in the app, for example a puzzle started, checked or left, or a match played. In the app these events carry a random player ID. For an account that ID is linked to your email on our server, so the analytics are pseudonymous, not anonymous. They never include your email or your name, and you can turn them off in Account and settings.

We do not use advertising identifiers, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for their own purposes.

Who processes data for us

• ·Cloudflare — hosting, the website and our database (United States and Cloudflare’s global network).
• ·PostHog — product analytics: cookieless and anonymous on the website, linked to a random player ID in the app (United States).
• ·Resend — sending login and service emails (United States).
• ·Expo — building and delivering app updates (United States).
• ·Apple and Google — distributing the app through their stores, under their own privacy policies.

Our servers and databases are in the United States, so your data is processed there.

Why we may keep your data

We keep it to run what you asked for: your account and your duels, the lessons you have finished, and the emails you asked us to send. Where the law asks for a legal basis, this is performance of our agreement with you, or our legitimate interest in keeping the product working and safe. For the waitlist, it is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

• ·Waitlist emails: until launch or until you ask us to remove them.
• ·Account and duel data: while your account exists. Deleting your account removes your identity, your sessions and your personal learning data; your opponent’s match history keeps the result with your name replaced by “Deleted player”.
• ·Guest players: while the device session is valid. Ask us and we will remove it sooner.
• ·Login codes and session tokens: minutes to weeks, then they expire automatically.

In-app account deletion is being built. Until it ships, email hello@halfspacepro.com and we will delete your data.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Türkiye, you also have the right to object to processing and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to hello@halfspacepro.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Children

Half-Space Pro is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Session and invite tokens are stored only as hashes, login codes only as a keyed hash, and the app keeps its refresh token in the device keychain or keystore. No system is perfect, so tell us at hello@halfspacepro.com if you find a problem and we will look at it quickly.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for anything significant we will say so in the app or on the site before it takes effect.
